MANY THANKS to Barbara Hutchinson for playing at today’s service, and to Gene Lancaster sharing his voice. COFFEE – It looks like this Sunday is also without coffee! Coffee sign-up for the first part of 2010 is on the bulletin board. ALL future Sundays are blank! Please help out!!! IN THE EVENT OF INCLEMENT WEATHER, please call the church. Before the Bible Study, please attend the bake sale today! Honey-Baked Ham Company will also be present selling gift certificates. We receive 50% back from the sale of these gift certificates. Both this money as well as the money raised at the bake sale will be used to help sponsor the Concordia College Choir. MAY 7th – MARK THE DATE. The Concordia College-New York chorus will be performing for us that Friday evening, at 7:00 PM. We need to provide dinner for the choir prior to the concert and house them that Friday night. Jackie Johnson and Kyle McGivney will be coordinating the dinner, please watch the bulletins in a few weeks as that gets organized. Denise Hendrickson is coordinating the housing. We already have several volunteers – thank you! We are still looking for a few more families to host two choir members each that Friday night. CHURCH COUNCIL – At present we have a few deacon positions available, as well as an elder position. VBS 2010 “To be or not to be, that is the question…” Should we let this long standing tradition drift away? We’ve done this without a Pastor before, but not without a Pastor and someone to lead the music. This year, with our smaller congregation, we need to get a commitment from our volunteers to know if we have adequate staff to keep our vibrant VBS program going, tentatively scheduled for the week of July 19th. Please contact Cathy Hayes if you can help with the program this summer, or if you have any suggestions for person(s) to lead the music program. Call 781-829-6795 or email cpeckhayes@comcast.net.
